Best Use of Technology – Highly Commended

We wanted to congratulate The Elms Day Nursery – University of Birmingham who were awarded the Highly Commended for the Best Use of Technology Award…

The innovative use of iConnect has helped The Elms to diversify the way in which observations are recorded and shared with parents and among practitioners. The technology has given parents more proactive input to their children’s learning. Children are often asked about life events or “wow” moments which they and their families have uploaded to the ParentZone aspect of the system, allowing their voice to be heard. Parents can also access photographs, videos and care routines throughout the day, via their phone. They can also witness what children enjoy most at nursery and encourage their development further at home.
