Case Study: The Old Station Nursery
Overview
The Old Station Nursery is an established childcare provider with a team of qualified and experienced staff. Working hard every day to create a warm and caring environment for children to grow and thrive, the nursery is renowned for its high standards of care and commitment to continuous improvement.
The early years setting has been in partnership with Connect Childcare since January 2020 and is utilising the Connect management system, iConnect and Parentzone.
Creating a bespoke training manual
Although they have been training their staff on how to best use the software, Old Station Nursery felt it was the time to bolster this with the help of a bespoke training manual, written to fit their processes and ways of working.
To do this, Connect Childcare created a training manual which was developed in three parts: Enquiry Management, Child Lifecycle Management and Operational Lifecycle.
Utilising an agile approach to the project, we delivered the three individual parts of the manual, one at a time, to make the process as simple as possible. To optimise the project’s success, we engaged in weekly calls to check in on progress, which was followed by the creation and distribution of an issues log to address any concerns or problems. We also made sure to prioritise internal discussions and onsite meetings to facilitate a smooth sign-off of the project.
From the initial consultation through to implementation, our team maintained an active line of communication with the nursery staff to listen to feedback and suggestions and ensure that the project was delivered successfully and in a timely manner.
