Early years in lockdown – see the impact in numbers

Measuring Early Years Impact

Catch up on our latest webinar

The full recording of our live webinar with Jo Verrill from About Early Years. In this Webinar Jo and our CEO Chris discussed the impact COVID-19 has had on nursery and setting closures and provided insights into the recently launched Covid portal.

If you are a childcare provider and haven't registered on the portal yet please do it today if you can.

The portal is for ALL Ofsted registered childcare providers in England and will continuously track temporary and permanent setting closures and child headcounts. This is for you – even if you have sadly had to close your doors for good since the pandemic.

Data entry is super simple, in just one minute, you can help track impact and inform sector recovery. Every contribution makes a difference.

Early years in lockdown - the impact in numbers

The first results have been released from Ceeda’s Covid-19 data portal. They show 33% of day nurseries and pre-schools and 52% of childminders are open to vulnerable children and families, as the battle against COVID-19 continues.

Figures show low numbers of children attending, averaging 1.43 key worker children per day across open childminder settings last week, and a median of 4 in nurseries and pre-schools.

Download the short bulletin for all the key figures.
