Connect Childcare Launches Survey to Support Early Years Staff Wellbeing
At Connect Childcare, we work closely with nurseries and early years providers every day, and we’ve always been passionate about helping early years providers succeed, not just by simplifying nursery management but by truly understanding the unique challenges they face. We know that working in early years education is rewarding, but it’s also demanding, and the wellbeing of early years staff is crucial to ensuring that children receive the best care and support.
That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of our new campaign, “A Look into Early Years Staff Wellbeing” which includes a survey designed to give early years professionals the opportunity to share their experiences, helping us build a clearer picture of the wellbeing challenges in the sector.
Why focus on staff wellbeing?
Let’s face it – working in early years education comes with a lot of pressure. From endless paperwork to inspections and recruitment struggles, it’s no surprise that many staff feel the strain. Research has shown how these challenges can affect morale and job satisfaction, yet the most recent data available is from 2022. We believe it’s time to revisit this conversation, and that’s what inspired us to launch this survey.
We want to hear directly from early years professionals about the obstacles they’re facing today. Whether it’s the stress of inspections, financial worries, or the feeling of being undervalued, your voice matters. By understanding these concerns, we can begin to address them and help make a real difference.
Bringing the spark back to early years education
At Connect Childcare, we’re on a mission to help reignite the passion that brought so many educators into early years in the first place. As Chris Reid, our CEO, explains, “To truly support early years professionals, we first need to understand the challenges they’re facing. That’s why this survey is so important—it will provide us with the insights needed to develop real solutions, whether through expert guidance, webinars, or other resources.”
We’re thrilled to be partnering with Jamie Victoria, known as The Childcare Guru, to host an exclusive webinar where she’ll offer practical tips to boost wellbeing. Together, we’ll tackle the challenges you’re facing head-on, helping you rediscover your spark and reignite your team’s passion and joy for early years education.
How you can get involved
Taking part in the survey is quick, simple, and confidential. Your input will be invaluable in helping us highlight the key issues that are most pressing for early years professionals. And by sharing your experiences, you’ll also be contributing to shaping the future of the sector. Plus, as a thank you, all participants will receive a complimentary report on the findings once the survey is complete.
You can take part in the survey by clicking this link. But don’t wait too long – the survey closes on Friday the 18th of October 2024.
“We know that the wellbeing of early years staff is crucial to the success of the sector,” says Chris Reid. “We want to ensure that your voices are heard and that together we can create an environment where educators feel valued, supported, and empowered.”
Your participation in this survey is the first step in making this vision a reality. Let’s work together to bring wellbeing to the forefront of early years education!
