Let’s make sure parents and politicians understand the impact of COVID-19 on early years and the vital contribution the sector is making in the effort to save lives. 

We wanted to let you know about a brand-new data portal, launched by Ceeda to track what is happening on the ground – measuring impact in a minute. 

The portal is for Ofsted registered childminders, day nurseries and pre-schools in England and will continuously track temporary and permanent setting closures and child headcounts. This is for you – even if you have sadly had to close your doors for good since the pandemic.  

Data entry is super simple and fast and within just one minute, you could help the early years’ sector build evidence to support the recovery from COVID-19. 

The portal collects just 3 pieces of information vital in tracking sector contribution and impact:

1. If your setting is open, and if so –
2. A daily headcount of key worker children.
3. A daily headcount of vulnerable children.

You will also be invited to take part in bite-sized surveys to gather the story behind the numbers as they unfold, all input is entirely voluntary. 

Ceeda will be collating and sharing regular updates to keep providers, parents and politicians informed and aware of sector needs, during the crisis and into recovery.
