X for X-factor – The ABC of Early Years Education
We all know that the first five years of a child’s life have a lifelong impact on their development and future learning. And those working in the sector have one of the most important jobs in making sure children within their setting have the best start possible.
We also recognise that it has been an incredibly challenging climate in recent years – with the pandemic and cost-of-living crisis making it harder for nurseries to remain sustainable – but early years professionals have remained on the front lines.
They continue to care for children and support their families – showing resilience under pressurised circumstances – and they deserve to be celebrated.
Sector awards are one of the many great ways to do this – recognising and honouring the amazing work they do and the commitment they show every day.
“Awards can help to promote not only the setting but the skills and achievements of employees too, which in turn reflects on the reputation of the setting. This can also boost morale and help employees feel valued.”
It’s true that not everyone can take home the trophy but taking part in the process is a great way to help change mindsets and recognise the wonderful things educators are doing. Awards are also an excellent way of forging new and deeper relationships with parents, investors, and suppliers.
With an array of categories for room leaders, chefs, managers, parent engagement, apprenticeship schemes, community nurseries, and more, there’s something for everyone.
Every early years staff member and nursery is unique, and each one merits acknowledgement and appreciation.
