Your chance to input on early years solutions
Our trusted partners and friends at Ceeda have just announced a fantastic roundtable event focussed on the Early Years Workforce.
It’s a must for anyone responsible for strategy and decision making in the early years sector and will be headed up by three fantastic leading speakers:
Julie Hyde, director at Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education (Cache)
Julie is director at CACHE, the UK’s leading provider of high quality qualifications for the early years sector. As CACHE director, Julie led on the recent Save Our Early Years campaign which resulted in the government reinstating Functional Skills as an alternative qualification for Level 3 Early Years Educators.
Julie will share the latest evidence on workforce tends from Ceeda’s About Early Years research programme and consider the opportunities and challenges ahead in recruiting, retaining and continuing to improve the skill levels and professional standards of the early years’ workforce.
June O’Sullivan MBE, chief executive London Early Years Foundation
An inspiring speaker, author and regular media commentator on early years, social business and child poverty, June has been instrumental in achieving a major strategic, pedagogical and cultural shift for the award winning London Early Years Foundation, resulting in an increased profile, new childcare model and stronger social impact over the past ten years.
LEYF launched a new degree programme for nursery teachers in September 2018, in collaboration with the University of Wolverhampton. June will share LEYF’s experience of recruiting and retaining graduates in the PVI sector.
Guy Browning, business author, Sunday Times cartoonist and brand consultant.
Known as the ‘David Attenborough of the business jungle’, Guy is the creator of The Guardian’s Office column, presenter of Small Talk on Radio 4, and author of a slew of bestsellers. Originally an advertising copywriter, Guy’s expertise lies in the use of creativity in business.
Dr Jo Verrill, Managing Director of Ceeda will share insights into the recruitment challenges faced by the sector and the three key speakers will lead discussions to come up with creative solutions.
This is not to be missed.
The day will be attended by Nursery Owners, Universities and local and national Government Representatives.
