Safeguarding Culture – Toxins and Nutrients
Produced by The Early Years Hub
The Early Years Foundation Stage states that ‘Children learn best when they are healthy, safe and secure, when their individual needs are met, and when they have positive relationships with the adults caring for them’. (EYFS 2017)
The culture of a setting, by this we mean the ‘customs and institutions of a group of people’, reflects attitudes, behaviour, expectations, and the way we think or feel about something. Culture is grown and established over a period of time. It requires a source from where to emerge and people to operate within it if it continues to develop to the point of creating impact.
