We’re thrilled to share some fantastic news with our Connect community! If you’re a nursery or early years setting looking to enhance your medication logging and communication processes, this new feature is just what you need.
Why medication features matter
As part of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, nurseries are required to maintain detailed written records every time medication is administered to a child. This also means informing parents on the same day or as soon as practically possible. While we’ve always offered basic medication logging features, our latest updates take things to a whole new level.
Introducing our latest medication features exclusive to our iConnect web app
Comprehensive medication logging:
Switch from paper forms to our new events screen. Record the date, time, medicine name, dosage, and more—all in one place. Collect signatures from a parent/guardian, the administering staff member, and a witness.
Digital acknowledgement in ParentZone:
We’re making it easier for parents to stay informed. With the ParentZone app, parents can sign and acknowledge medication events directly. This means less paperwork and a smoother process for your staff.
Controlled access and permissions:
Restrict medication record handling to authorised staff only. You can choose to publish updates to ParentZone right away or save drafts for managerial review, ensuring that only the right people have access to medication events.
Parent notifications:
Parents will be notified in ParentZone when medication records are published, minimising follow-up queries and ensuring peace of mind.
