Win workplace well-being prizes this Easter!

Over the past couple of years, workplace wellbeing has become a major challenge facing all childcare and education settings. It’s becoming clear that settings must commit time and energy to make sure they’re doing everything they can to help their staff and children stay happy and healthy. Not just for the sake of their people, but for the success of their businesses too.

We understand that it can be difficult for managers to balance the emotional wellbeing of their children, staff and parents so we wanted to help.

We’ve partnered with some of our favourite brands to give away three amazing prizes worth over £1200 to one nominated childcare setting on Thursday 14th April 2022.

Our new Competition will give your setting a chance to win free access to health and wellbeing training courses and some delicious chocolate goodies to share with your team this Easter.

You could win…

Copper Velvetiser from Hotel Chocolat’s Easter Collection

What is it?

The Velvetiser is a revolutionary Hot Chocolate Machine for you to add to upgrade your staff room or kitchen. Barista-grade hot chocolate could be just a press of a button away! Alongside the revolutionary Velvetiser, this selection offers a range of hot chocolate sachets and some delicious springtime snacks for you to share.

Why did we choose this?

We wanted to treat a special nursery this Easter and help to lift the spirits after a difficult couple of years. Give your team a ‘hug in a mug’. This selection could be the perfect way to satisfy those cacao cravings and delve into staff wellbeing over a cup of hot chocolate. It’s a gift that keeps on giving long after Easter.

Start Life Well Wellbeing-in-Action Toolkit and Award Scheme from PurpleBee Learning

What is it?

Start Life Well is a complete online wellbeing self-assessment and award scheme that supports settings to measure, improve and consistently maintain high standards of wellbeing with ease.

Why did we choose this?

Embedding a health-promoting approach requires an understanding of what wellbeing means, why it’s important for staff and children and, crucially, how we can achieve it. The Start Life Well toolkit and award programme presents the evidence for promoting health and wellbeing and provides you with the strategy, framework and tools to promote and encourage healthy choices for children, families and staff.

Who is it for?

This is suitable for a qualified or student PANCo, a team leader or a manager working in Early Years settings such as nurseries, schools, childminding settings and after school clubs. Learners must be over 18yrs old and working within a childcare setting or school.

Level 3 Building Health in Early Years Qualification from the London Early Years Foundation Chef Academy

What is it?

This is a Level 3 qualification endorsed by NCFE CACHE, the awarding body which will issue you with a certificate when you have completed the programme. The aim of this course is to make Early Years chefs experts in child nutrition and help them put this knowledge into practice in their settings to ensure children get the healthiest (and most delicious) food possible. The course will also help the chefs embed themselves in their settings and use their knowledge and skills to encourage better eating habits in children, staff and parents.

Why did we choose this?

Research tells us that our long-term health is built before we are five years old. LEYF understands that eating a balanced diet of fresh food in the right quantities is crucial to this. Your chef will improve their career capital and value to your nursery as a specialised Early Years chef.

Who is it for?

Your chef or kitchen staff. (Entrants must be working in an Early Years kitchen.) Your children will benefit from this too.
