Common questions

Are there any setup or hidden fees?
No hidden costs, and setup is free, so you can get started straight away. There are a few optional add-ons — Connect Cashflow, SMS messages and postcode lookups — but they're entirely optional, and you're never enrolled automatically. Connect Cashflow has no monthly fee; transaction fees apply, and you can see our fees sheet or ask the team to talk you through it.
Do I pay extra for support and training?
No — support and training are included. You'll get free training through Connect Academy and a support team rated 95.1% on CSAT, plus an onboarding manager and a customer success manager to guide you. There's 24/7 online help, phone and email support, and an active user community. If you need extra tailored training later, say for new staff, bespoke packages are available — but everything your team needs to get up and running is already covered.
How long is the initial onboarding?
It's built around you, with no time limit — everyone learns at their own pace. We'll support you fully until you're ready to move over to our standard support channels.
Can I add products or make changes later?
Yes. You can add products and adjust your plan as your setting grows, and your success manager will talk you through the options — including in your demo.
Does it suit my type of setting?
Yes. Connect Childcare is used right across the sector — private, voluntary and independent nurseries, school nurseries, preschools and multi-site groups. However your setting is run and funded, the package covers the day-to-day: registers, funding, invoicing, development tracking, safeguarding and parent communication.
How does the contract work?
You'll be on a fixed-term contract. In return, your price is fixed for the whole term — no surprise increases — and your onboarding, training and support are all included. When your term ends, you're free to stay or leave, though most settings choose to stay with us.
What happens after I request a quote?
A real person gets in touch, usually within one working day. We'll ask a few questions about your setting, show you how it works, and put together a price that fits. No pressure, no hard sell — and if it's not right for you, that's completely fine.
How secure is my data?
Your data is in safe hands. We're hosted on ISO-certified infrastructure and hold Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus accreditations. We're fully GDPR compliant and meet PCI DSS standards, so your information is always handled properly.
